The Minneapolis Novas is the girls high school hockey team made up of players from the Minneapolis Public Schools. The team has been in existence for thirteen seasons. The Novas have been members of the Tri-Metro conference for the last three years.
During the season the Novas players help promote girls hockey in Minneapolis by putting on clinics for youth and park board players. Several players also assisted a sled hockey program on Sundays throughout this past season. On and off the ice the Minneapolis Novas strive to be positive representation of their city and sport.
Coaches:
John Wareham - This is John’s sixth season as the head coach of the Novas. He has been with the program for eleven years coaching goalies, the JV and assisting with the varsity team.

Kevin McMullen -This is Kevin’s sixth season as the assisten coach for the varsity team. He also helps with the JV practices and games.
Rob Widga - This is a fourth season for Rob as the head coach of the JV team. He also assists with the varsity team.
Taya Latham - This is Taya’a first season coaching with Novas. She assists with both - varsity and JV team.
